The short version

We collect almost nothing. We audit public web pages — the same ones Google reads — and email you a report. No advertising trackers, no data selling, ever — and the only cookies are a few Google Analytics cookies that are set only if you accept them.

What we collect

• Your email address — to send your report, scorecard, or reply to your inquiry. That's it.
• The website URL you ask us to audit — public information, used only to run your audit.
• Correspondence — your emails to us and ours to you, kept for our records.

What we don't do

• No advertising trackers — and no analytics at all until you accept cookies.
• No selling, renting, or sharing your data with third parties for marketing.
• No access to your website, servers, or accounts — audits read public pages only.

Analytics — Google Analytics 4

This site uses Google Analytics 4 to count which pages and free tools people find useful. It runs with advertising features switched off and Google's Consent Mode v2 set to deny everything by default:

• Before you choose, nothing is measured and no analytics cookie is set.
• If you accept, Google sets first-party cookies on this domain (_ga, _ga_*) so visits can be counted. That is the full extent of it — no ad identifiers, no profiling, no cross-site tracking.
• If you reject, no analytics cookie is ever set and nothing is measured.

Google (Google Ireland Ltd. and its affiliates, as applicable) acts as a sub-processor for this limited purpose under its own Google privacy policy.

Changing your choice: clear this site's data in your browser (site settings → delete data for yoursiteisbroken.com, which removes the stored ysib-consent preference and any analytics cookies) and reload the page — the consent banner comes back and you can answer again.

Sub-processors

Audits are generated by our own engine, run locally on our machines. Payments are processed by Stripe as our payment processor, under their Stripe privacy policy — your card details go directly to Stripe and never touch our servers. Email delivery uses standard email providers bound by data-processing agreements. If — and only if — you accept analytics cookies, Google Analytics is a sub-processor for the purpose described above. That's the whole list.

Report data & retention

Audit reports are stored locally on our machines and in your inbox. Ask us to delete your report data at any time: hello@yoursiteisbroken.com — we'll confirm within 72 hours.

Your rights

Depending on your jurisdiction (GDPR, CCPA, and similar laws), you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, and you can object to processing. Email us and we'll sort it out — we're small and fast.

Children

Our services are for businesses; we don't knowingly collect data from children under 16.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the service evolves. Material changes will be announced on this page with a new "last updated" date. Continued use of the service after an update means you accept the revised policy — we won't make you read legalese twice for no reason.

International visitors

The service is operated from the European Union. If you access it from outside the EU, your data may be processed on servers located elsewhere. Where that happens, appropriate safeguards (such as standard contractual clauses) apply to the transfer.
